Events ON PEACHES AND APRICOTS

I.At the end of the falling of the leaves period

  1. Peaches and apricots are treated with 2% Bordeaux solution against: curling, chamois and apoplexies.

II. Pre blooming

  1. At the swelling of buds a treatment is carried out against: mushroom diseases, curly, brown rot, chamois, peach moth, etc. With 1% Bordeaux solution, 2% garlic extract and 0.5% extract from basil. This period of the season is very vulnerable for peaches and apricots. Trees usually experience a lot of damage from frostbite of buds and of missed sprayings /due to adverse weather conditions/. In such a situation, the last chance for the treatment of peaches is in phase “mouse ears” with the addition of 0.3% cooking salt and 0.5% alcohol.
  2. In phase “color key” treatment is applied to stone-fruit plants with 1% copper bicarbonate solution and 2% garlic extract against: Early brown rot, chamois and their first enemies as peach branch moth and peach leaf louse, which attack the shoots before bursting.

III. Post blooming

  1. Immediately after the ending of the blooming period on peaches there appear: powdery mildew, the peach leaf louse, the peach branch moth, the East fruit worm and others. Preventively a treatment is carried out against: powdery mildew, the brown rot, chamois, the peach moth, leaf scale, etc., with 1% extract of horseradish, 2% garlic extract.
  2. After about 10 to 14 days on peaches and apricots in addition to the continuing fight with the early brown rot, bacterial chamois, there are possible attacks by the East fruit worm, the peach branch moth and others.
  3. After the second spraying after about 10 to 12 days there continues the treatment against powdery mildew. All events shall be carried out after surveillance and if needed.
